Make sure the engine and the pump are cool to the touch before doing any work. If the chemical reservoir is full, use locking pliers to pinch the hose first so the chemical will not leak out.
Disconnect the chemical supply line from the brass fitting at the pump by pulling gently and twisting until it comes free. Remove the old injector with a wrench. Prepare the new injector by Inserting the small “o” ring into the large side of the brass fitting and using a screwdriver, seat it at the base of the fitting (where the spring and ball bearing will go, the small “o” ring goes first). Seat the large “o” ring on to the outside of the threads on the large side of the brass fitting.
Insert the ball bearing into the large side of the brass fitting on top of the small “o” ring. Insert the spring into the large side of the brass fitting on top of the ball bearing. (Hold the spring and ball bearing in the fitting with your finger tip until you insert the assembly into the pump housing.) 9. Lubricate the large “o” ring with a small amount of oil to help it seal properly.

Insert the new fitting into the pump and tighten with a wrench. Do not over tighten as you can strip the threads on the pump or create a stress fracture of the brass fitting. A firm seat is enough. Reconnect the chemical supply line.
