Navfac Design Manual
According to CERM, the only listed required/recommended references for Geotechnical are the NAVFAC Design Manuals DM 7.1 and 7.2. I think Lindeburg meant 7.01 and 7.02 as I believe 7.1/7.2 (1982) were replaced with 7.01/7.02 (1986). I am taking the Transpo depth module but I'd still like to have the required Geotech references (especially since they are free). 1.) Do you guys agree that DM 7.01 and 7.02 are the only necessary geotech resources (along with CERM) for non-geotech depth examinees? 2.) Where can I download DM 7.01 and 7.02 for free? Go to vulcanhammer.net They have what you are looking for.
DM 7.1 has been replaced by UFC 3-220-10N, however they are identical. DM 7.1/UFC 3-220-10N is at DM 7.2 is at Thanks OADG. I apprciate it.
Do you agree that these are the only references needed (along with CERM) for a non-Geo guys? Get the 'Geotechnical Engineer's Portable Handbook', I answered all unexpected questions (about 7) from this reference, it really saved me. Very easy to use the index and get quick answers.
